Posters in Brussels is an Erasmus+ Higher Education Cooperation Partnership project launched in September 2024 that aims to enhance undergraduate research and foster connections between Bachelor students and political decision-makers across Europe.
Through scientific poster presentations, undergraduate students from all academic disciplines are invited to present their research projects or Bachelor theses in national and European political institutions.

Inspired by the pioneering Posters on the Hill events in Washington, established by the Council of Undergraduate Research (USA), and the annual Posters in Parliament (PiP) initiative coordinated by the Institute of Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) at the University of Warwick (UK), the Posters in Brussels project is now bringing Posters in Parliament to Europe.A series of national Posters in Parliaments events—showcasing excellence in undergraduate research —will take place between October 2025 and June 2026 in 5 parliaments around Europe - Austria, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, and Luxembourg.
Please visit the Posters in Parliaments pages for further details on each national event.
In Winter, 2026, undergraduate research students will have the chance to the present their work in the European Parliament in Brussels, showcasing research from across the EU.
For more information on this event please look to our EU Posters in the European Parliament landing page.

To showcase the breadth and diversity of undergraduate research taking place across Europe, directly to politicians and policy makers in European parliaments. Highlighting the power of Higher Education to facilitate students to apply their learning to real-world challenges —technological, environmental, social, health-related, and societal — ultimately leading to positive changes in everyday life.

To reinforce the link between students and democratic institutions by bringing visibility to their research and increasing the research impact, thus promoting the curation of further research at undergraduate level in the future.

Through the national and international events, we wish to promote civic engagement and empower our students to enact change. We wish to use these events as a tool to increase the political awareness of the student body across the EU, reinforcing the importance of authentic communication and dissemination directly to policy makers with the ability to implement and enact change, both nationally and at EU level.

To establish an EU network of mentors passionate about Undergraduate Research (URMentor). Through this network we wish to highlight the importance of Undergraduate Research in Higher education to foster critical thinking, problem solving and self-efficacy in today’s technologically advanced student body. Working together we wish to identify ways to further promote and resource UR activities at an institutional level across Europe.
